Coroner

The Grant County Coroner is responsible for ensuring that all deaths falling under specific circumstances are thoroughly investigated following state law.

• Unattended Deaths: When no physician was present at the time of death.
• Unnatural Deaths: Including accidents, homicides, suicides, or other suspicious circumstances.
• Unidentified Individuals: When the identity of the deceased is unknown.
• Deaths in Custody: Occurring while a person is in the custody of a correctional facility, institution, or special school.
